Honeywell International and Pratt & Whitney have received requirements contracts totaling $27 million for engineering, research, and development of secondary power systems for multiple platforms of the U.S. Air Force. The twin contracts, announced by the U.S. Department of Defense, will cover much of the Air Force’s existing air fleet. Maintaining and upgrading the secondary power systems is vital to keeping older legacy aircraft viable toward the end of their service lives.
